Lucenay L’Évèque is a small village with about 400 inhabitants. From La Maison Usseau it is within walking distance, in about 10 minutes. It is a real Morvandean village with a village square, a town hall, a library, a school, a municipal campsite and a church from the 13th century.
And more like:
A small supermarket, Proxy marché.
A Bar-Tabac, Le Bistro, where you can also have lunch.
A restaurant, La Roseraie.
A doctor’s surgery / physiotherapy.
A tennis court at the municipal campsite.
Every Tuesday morning, Eric and Rafaëla organise a vegetable market in the village with a wide variety of fruit and vegetables.
In the village, walk over the Ternin bridge into the forest of the national park. The Morvan offers many opportunities for cycling, walking and even climbing. There are beautiful lakes nearby such as Lac de Pannecière and Lac des Settons.
In the Morvan you can do fantastic fishing. You do need a fishing pass. The lake of Pannecière is known as the largest (520 hectares) and most fish-rich reservoir of this natural park. Pike, perch, carp, they are there! And how! Many times a large specimen has been caught. There is an enormous stock of carp with many peaks of over 20 kilos. According to the latest information, the record still stands at 26 kilos and was caught in 2003. Night fishing is permitted between 1 April and 31 October. For this purpose 3 sectors have been designated by the local manager. These are changed regularly, so always inform well before you start fishing for Pannecière.
There are no no noisy water sports in this lake, this is not allowed in order to ensure peace and quiet for the fishermen. To do this, go to Lake Settons.
